I wanna to repair them except SUN Services, but I don`t know the

If you know the company name or contact point, please let me know.

I'm not sure what Sun support is available in Korea!

Having said that, I think Sun will repair or replace the failed parts.
I would expect them to charge more than they would if you had a support
contract. I would expect them to charge a LOT more!

Hey there Dragon. :) I was going to suggest taht SungJae just pick
up some spares on eBay. That's probably his cheapest alternative.

Shipping merchandise overseas can get very complicated! There are
almost always customs duties to be paid. There are sometimes
restrictions on which countries you can legally ship technology to.
A country such as Korea can ban imports from the U.S. The U.S. can, and
probably has, embargoed trade with North Korea.

It can be done but shipping things overseas is something that a lot of
dealers refuse to do. Others will do it for a substantial extra charge!

I'd suggest inquiring at the Post Office and find out how bad it's going
to be! You could get lucky! I wouldn't count on it!!!!!

You might also look into businesses called "Freight Forwarders". In
essence, it's a travel agency for freight! For a fee plus expenses,
the Freight Forwarder will apply for any permits needed, pay the taxes,
pay the bribes, etc, etc. They are experts at this sort of thing and
can be well worth what they charge!

I hope his budget is well endowed.

It looks like the bust-out, non-working modules, stripped clean of
servicable parts are around $4,000, working used ones are north of $12,000
and is it possible the Sun retail on that thing is over $200,000?

Sheese.

Thank you for your reply. Mr. Richard.

If I contract with SUN support in South Korea, they will be repair the
broken parts.
But I don`t want to contract with them. Because their services is very
expensive.
So I search the another repair company.

???

Every single computer company I've ever dealt with on maintenance will
swap out the broken parts with spare ones. Fieldstripping large
rack-mount boxes down to the bare metal and reassembling with spares.

Repairing a broken circuit board, especially a motherboard, is very
time consuming, and the problems may be buried in the middle layers,
which is unfixable. Motherboards can be up to 12+ layers thick. It
could very likely be easier for the manufactorer to retool and build a
new one if they are out of spares than repair a motherboard, although
they likely have a huge stockpile of them.

If on the other hand, you find a spare motherboard yourself, you are
doing exactly what a Sun/Oracle repair tech would be doing.

Since your device isn't sold on eBay much, it might be better to hit
up the Sun resellers of older gear and see what they've got. Maybe
they have a drop-n-dent system that they can't really sell, but the
motherboard is fine inside that could go less than what it would cost
for Sun/Oracle maintenance.

I don't think you'll find a motherboard repair service.
