Hi,

our v245-Server Solaris 10 powers down, maybe he thinks the temperature are
to high. I restart the server via alom but the LEDs
SYS.LOCATE, SYS.SERVICE, SYS.ACT (warning?) and SYS.OVERTEMP
stays on.

SC> showenvironment
inside alom it shows this:

SYS.LOCATE SYS.SERVICE SYS.ACT
--------------------------------------------------------
FLASHING ON ON

SYS.PSFAIL SYS.OVERTEMP SYS.FANFAIL
--------------------------------------------------------
OFF ON OFF

With 'setlocator off' I can turn SYS.LOCATE of, but the other ones?

Would it help to power off the server some time?

(I found a patch for sol 9 against the problem with overheat, but I have
sol 10.)

TIA

This could be a firmware issues if it's not really overheating.
If you check the update history for v245 firmware you'll see mentions
of this- false overtemp alarms and yellow bezel lights.
